Tổng thống Mỹ Donald Trump hôm Chủ nhật (17/2) cho biết chính quyền của ông đang đạt được “tiến bộ lớn” trong việc đối phó với Trung Quốc trên nhiều mặt trận khác nhau, the The BL.
“ Hôm nay [tôi đã có] các cuộc họp và các cuộc điện đàm quan trọng với các nhân viên của tôi về Thỏa thuận thương mại với Trung Quốc, và hơn thế nữa”, Tổng thống Trump chia sẻ trên mạng xã hội Twitter hôm Chủ nhật.
Ông cho biết: “Tiến bộ lớn đang được thực hiện trên rất nhiều các mặt trận khác nhau! Đất nước chúng ta có tiềm năng thật phi thường để tăng trưởng và trở nên vĩ đại ở tầm cao hơn nữa trong tương lai!”
Trước đó nhiều chuyên gia đã ghi nhận thành tựu của Tổng thống Trump trong việc giải quyết các vấn đề liên quan tới Trung Quốc.
“Dưới thời Tổng thống Trump, Hoa Kỳ cuối cùng đã nhận ra thách thức toàn diện từ Trung Quốc và đang hành động trên một số mặt trận cùng một lúc”, ông Jim Jim Talent, cựu Hạ nghị sỹ đại diện cho tiểu bang Missouri, hiện là thành viên của Ủy ban Đánh giá Kinh tế và An ninh Hoa Kỳ – Trung Quốc, viết trên Fox News ngày 14/12/2018.
“Suốt nhiều năm, sự lãnh đạo yếu kém của cựu Tổng thống Barack Obama đã giúp chế độ độc tài quy mô lớn của Đảng Cộng sản Trung Quốc tiến hành trộm cắp mà hoàn toàn không bị kiểm soát. Bây giờ Trung Quốc cuối cùng đã phải chịu trách nhiệm, các nhà đầu tư đang bắt đầu nhận ra rằng [Tổng thống] Trump biết ông ấy đang làm gì ở đây”, Tiến sĩ Gina Loudon viết trong Washington Examiner. “Chẳng hạn, Trung Quốc đang hối hả thông qua một đạo luật mới chấm dứt hành vi cưỡng ép chuyển giao công nghệ và những vi phạm đối với quyền sở hữu trí tuệ của các công ty nước ngoài – một điều mà Hoa Kỳ đặt ưu tiên hàng đầu trong các cuộc đàm phán thương mại hiện nay.”

Ông Martchev cho biết nhà nước Trung Quốc kiểm soát nơi Trung Quốc mua hàng và cũng có thâm hụt thương mại với nhiều quốc gia mà họ coi là đối tác quan trọng, “để họ có thể gia tăng ảnh hưởng chính trị”. Ông cho rằng các chính quyền trước của Hoa Kỳ đã “nhẫn chịu hành vi này, cho đến khi Tổng thống Trump xuất hiện”.
Thương mại không phải là vấn đề duy nhất mà Tổng thống Trump đang giải quyết nhắm vào Trung Quốc, theo The BL. Phó Tổng thống Mike Pence đã nêu rõ rằng chính quyền Trump đang nhắm tới hàng loạt vấn đề khác nhau, trong đó có Biển Đông.

Ông Pence nêu chi tiết: “Dưới sự lãnh đạo của Tổng thống Trump, Hoa Kỳ cũng đã nêu rõ rằng Trung Quốc phải giải quyết các vấn đề lâu đời về trộm cắp tài sản trí tuệ, ép buộc chuyển giao công nghệ ép và các vấn đề mang tính chất cơ cấu khác ở Trung Quốc đã tạo gánh nặng cho nền kinh tế của chúng tôi và các nền kinh tế [khác] trên thế giới.”
